Induced mappings on the hyperspace of convergent sequences (Q2401739)

Let \(\mathcal{S}_c(X)\) be the space of all non-trivial convergent sequences in a topological space \(X\) endowed with the Vietoris topology. Each continuous map \(f:X \to Y\) induces a map \(\mathcal{S}_c(f)\) between the hyperspaces \(\mathcal{S}_c(X)\) and \(\mathcal{S}_c(Y)\). The authors study the relations between properties of the map \(f\) and properties of the induced map \(\mathcal{S}_c(f)\).
