The author considers the Cauchy problem for 1-D exothermically reacting compressible Euler equations with variable thrmodynamical parameters. The fluid is a mixture of two polytropic gases: the reactant and the product. The initial data for the Cauchy problem have finite total variation, the initial temperature is positive. Under the assumption that the initial data have small total variation and that the initial concentration of the reactant is low in the \(L^\infty\) sense the author proves the existence of a global solution of bounded variation which is an entropy weak solution; concentration of the reactant exponentially decreases.
