The authors consider the magnetic flow of a pair \((g,\sigma)\), where \(g\) is a Riemannian metric on the 2-torus \(\mathbb T^2\) and \(\sigma\) is a 2-form satisfying \(\sigma_{q}>0\) and \(\sigma_p<0\) for some \(p,q\in \mathbb T^2\). Such \(\sigma\) is called {oscillating}. The trajectories of such a flow are known as magnetic geodesics and the interest is on the amount of closed magnetic geodesics of constant energy. The main result of the paper is to show that for \(k\in (0,\tau(g,\sigma))\), \(\tau(g,\sigma)\) a positive constant, the energy levels corresponding to \(k\) have many geometrically distinct closed magnetic geodesics.
