    The authors solve the Putman-Wieland problem for graphs, see [\textit{A. Putman} and \textit{B. Wieland}, J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 88, No. 1, 79--96 (2013; Zbl 1279.57014)]. Let \(X\) be a wedge of \(n\geq 3\) circles and \(f: X\to Y\) a finite \(G\)-cover. The authors show that the \(\Gamma_G\)-orbit of any nonzero \(v\in H_1(Y;\mathbb Q)\) is infinite. In fact given any nonzero \(v\in H_1(Y;\mathbb Q)\) there exists a basepoint preserving homotopy equivalence \(F: X\to X\) such that \(F\) lifts to \(\tilde{F}: Y\to Y\) and such that the set \(\{ \tilde{F}^d(v)\mid d\in\mathbb Z\}\subseteq H_1(Y;\mathbb Q)\) is infinite.
