The paper deals with strictly convex solutions to the Monge-Ampère equations with boundary blow-up \[ \det D^2u(x)=b(x)f(u(x))\pm |Du|^q,\quad x\in\Omega,\quad u|_{\partial\Omega}=+\infty \] and \[ \det D^2u(x)=b(x)f(u(x))(1+|Du|^q),\quad x\in\Omega,\quad u|_{\partial\Omega}=+\infty. \] Here \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^N,\) \(N\geq2,\) is a strictly convex, bounded and smooth domain, \(q\in[0,N]\) (or \(q\in[0,N)\) in the case of the second problem), \(b\in C^\infty(\Omega)\) is positive and may vanish or blow-up on \(\partial\Omega,\) while \(f\) is continuous, positive and strictly increasing, and satisfies conditions of Keller-Osserman type. The main results obtained in the paper regard unique solvability of the above problems and the boundary behaviour of the corresponding solutions. The approach is mainly based on comparison with radially symmetric solutions.
