The paper is dedicated to the study of spline spaces. In this respect, the authors present a general unified theory of spline spaces for a wide collection of spline spaces, including trigonometric splines, hyperbolic splines and special Müntz spaces of splines. The authors also use the Boehm's algorithm and the Oslo algorithm and they construct compactly supported B-splines basis functions with simple two term recurrences.
