The author starts with a field \(k\) of positive characteristic and finite dimensional \(k\)-spaces. Then he consider graded \(k\)-linear categories and affine strict polynomial functors. which are versions of the Friedlander-Suslin strict polynomial functors. These functors help to understand homological behavior of the operation of Frobenius twist. An analogy with representations theory of loop group is pointed out.
