For a metric continuum \(X\) and a positive integer \(n\), let \(Cone(X)\) denote its topological cone, \(C(X)\) the hyperspace of subcontinua of \(X\) and \(F_{n} (X)\) the hyperspace of nonempty subsets with at most \(n\) elements. The hyperspaces \(C(X)\) and \(F_{n} (X)\) are considered with the Hausdorff metric. Given \(H(X) \in \{ F_{n} (X),C(X)\}\), \(X\) is cone embeddable in \(H(X)\) if there exists an embedding \(e:Cone(X) \to H(X)\) such that \(e(p,0)=\{p\}\) for each \(p \in X\). Cone embeddability of \(X\) in \(C(X)\) has been studied by \textit{H. Villanueva-Mendez} [Topology Appl. 160, No. 2, 296--304 (2013; Zbl 1270.54015); ibid. 187, 97--115 (2015; Zbl 1317.54005); ibid. 197, 28--49 (2016; Zbl 1335.54015)]. In the paper under review, the authors characterize trees \(X\) which are cone embbedable in \(F_{2} (X)\). They also prove that for each tree \(X\) and every \(n>2\), \(X\) is cone embeddable in \(F_{n} (X)\). The paper finishes with the following three interesting questions. Question 22. For which dendrites \(X\) does it hold that \(X\) is cone embeddable in \(F_{2} (X)\)? Question 23. If \(X\) is a dendrite, is it true that \(X\) is cone embeddable in \(F_{n} (X)\) for every \(n>2\)? Question 24. Let \(X\) be a dendroid, if \(X\) is cone embeddable in \(F_{n} (X)\) for some positive integer \(n\), is it true that \(X\) is smooth?
