This paper deals with a generalization of the Weierstrass approximation theorem. Let us recall that the classical Weierstrass approximation theorem asserts that the set of polynomial functions defined on a compact set is dense in the space of real valued continuous functions with respect to the uniform convergence topology. Dieudonné generalized this statement to continuous functions defined on a compact subset of \(\mathbb Q_p\) with values in the \(p\)-adic number field \(\mathbb Q_p\). Then Kaplansky proved the same result for the continuous functions defined on a compact subset of \(\mathbb Q_p\) but with values in the ring of \(p\)-adic integers \(\mathbb Z_p\). Finally Mahler, Amice, and Bhargava et Kedlaya gave effective version of this last statement. The aim of this paper is to give adelic versions of these results, i.e. for continuous functions with values in the ring of finite adèles \(A_f(\mathbb Q)\) of \(\mathbb Q\): \[ A_f(\mathbb Q):=\{(x_p)\in\prod_{p \text{ prime}}\mathbb Q_p\mid x_p\in\mathbb Z_p \text{ for almost all }p\}. \]
