The Breuil-Mézard conjecture [\textit{C. Breuil} and \textit{A. Mézard}, Duke Math. J. 115, No. 2, 205--310 (2002; Zbl 1042.11030)] is one of the earliest instances of the $p$-adic local Langlands correspondence. It relates certain Galois multiplicities and certain automorphic multiplicities. In its latest, geometric, formulation [\textit{M. Emerton} and \textit{T. Gee}, J. Inst. Math. Jussieu 13, No. 1, 183--223 (2014; Zbl 1318.11061)], it relates the mod $p$ reduction of some cycles in the Galois deformation spaces of certain $n$ dimensional mod $p$ representations of $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{F}/F)$ to the mod $p$ reduction of certain representations of $\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathcal{O}_F)$, where $F$ is a finite extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. The purpose of this article is to state and prove an analogue of this conjecture for mod $\ell$ representations of $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{F}/F)$ and of $\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathcal{O}_F)$, where $F$ is a finite extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$ and $\ell \neq p$. We refer to the paper's informative introduction for a thorough discussion of its contents.
