This paper is a contribution to the ongoing program launched by Voronin's 1975 theorem on the universality of the Riemann zeta-function. Here, the functions giving rise to a universality phenomenon are: a function \(\mathcal{L}\) belonging to Selberg's class, and a collection of periodic Hurwitz zeta functions, that is, series of the type \[ \zeta(s,\alpha ; \mathfrak{a})=\sum_{n \ge 0} \frac{a_n}{(n+\alpha)^s} \] where \(0 <\alpha \le 1\) and \(\mathfrak{a}=(a_n)\) is a periodic sequence. The main result, Theorem 1.3, states the joint universality property under some hypotheses, namely : a form of the prime number theorem for \(\mathcal{L}\), algebraic independence of the distinct values of \(\alpha\) appearing in the collection, and, for each \(\alpha\), linear independence of the periodic sequences \(\mathfrak{a}\) corresponding to \(\alpha\). Notwithstanding the difficulties due to the multidimensional context, the proofs proceed along classical lines of this area, involving, among others, tools from probability theory (Prokhorov's theorem), ergodic theory (Birkhoff-Khintchine theorem), and polynomial approximation (Mergelyan's theorem).
