On exponential and trigonometric functions on nonuniform lattices (Q2422100)

On non-uniform lattices, the authors develop analogs of exponential and trigonometric functions (including the \(q\)-exponential function). They derive many fundamental properties of these functions, such as the addition formula, positivity, reciprocal and the fundamental trigonometric relations. The authors also establish a binomial theorem, characterize symmetric orthogonal polynomials and provide a concrete formula for computing the \(n\)th-derivatives for analytic functions on non-uniform lattices.
