    Given two integers $s\geq 1$ and $n\geq 0$, suppose that \[(1+x+\cdots+x^s)^n=\sum_{k=0}^{sn}\binom{n}{k}_s x^k.\] In this paper the authors showed that the $s$-Pascal triangle $\{\binom{n}{k}_s\}_{n,k\geq 0}$ is a TP matrix, namely each minor of the triangle matrix is nonnegative. They also provided a $q$-analogue of this result. However, one can easily verify that $\{\binom{n}{k}_s\}_{n,k\geq 0}$ is not a TP matrix for $s=3$ or $s=4$. In fact, their proof can be used to show that any $2$ by $2$ sub-matrix of $\{\binom{n}{k}_s\}_{n,k\geq 0}$ is nonnegative for any $s\geq 1$.
