The paper is focused on the asymptotic estimates of the eigenvalue variation when small capacity sets of the domain are removed or the operator presents variations due to moving poles of singular coefficients. In the case when the removed compact set concentrates at a point, the authors study the relation between the order of vanishing of a Dirichlet eigenfunction at that point and the leading term of the asymptotic expansion of the Dirichlet eigenvalue variation. Then for the Aharonov-Bohm operators with two poles which lie on the symmetry axis of an axially-symmetric domain, they investigate the asymptotic behaviour of eigenvalues when the poles move coalescing into a fixed point. When the segment which joint the poles is removed, the authors prove a spectral equivalence between these Aharonov-Bohm operators and the Dirichlet Laplacian.
