Slow and fast oscillations in a model of an optoelectronic oscillator with delay (Q2424401)

The authors study the local dynamics of an optoelectronic oscillator model with delayed feedback in this paper. They constructed families of boundary value problems whose nonlocal dynamics determine the dynamics of solutions to the original time-delay system in a small neighborhood of the equilibrium. Bifurcation effects in the normal equations are also examined. The results show that the model can exhibit fast or slow oscillations. The method used in this paper can provide new insight into the justification of the spatiotemporal representation of the dynamics of an optoelectronic oscillator with delay.
