The paper deals with the construction of some bivariate spline operators of Hermite type. In this construction, the values of the first-order partial derivatives of the approximated function are used. There are two schemes for the given interpolation data, one is interpolating from the \(x\)-direction, another is from the \(y\)-direction. The interpolating functions have explicit expressions. Sufficient conditions for the shape control of bivariate rational interpolating surfaces are established.
