The authors address the problem of finding a special type of monomial basis in certain modules over the Virasoro algebra. Here ``monomial'' means that the elements of the basis are basically given by products of certain Fourier coefficients of some primary fields. The Virasoro module the authors study is a direct sum of certain irreducible modules in \((p,p')\)-minimal series. The main problem is to understand which monomials should be taken to form a basis. The authors propose two explicit sets of conditions, which combinatorially determine a set of monomials, and show that the character of this set of monomials does coincide with the character of the module they study. This makes the author to conjecture that the corresponding monomials do form a basis. The conjecture is verified in the case \(p=3\).
