A procedure for controlling the length of length of the Stewart platform is proposed. The procedure is based on the configuration analysis of the platform movement in a link space, the homotopy method and static bifurcation condition. Using the mathematical constrained model of the Stewart platform, the authors presented some illustrative results for extreme configuration anslysis and safety length of links analysis.
