This paper is about cluster algebras [\textit{S. Fomin} and \textit{A. Zelevinsky}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 15, No. 2, 497-529 (2002; Zbl 1021.16017)]. A cluster structure in the algebra of rational functions \(\mathbb{C}[N]\), \(N\) a maximal unipotent subgroup of a simple Lie group \(G\), was introduced by \textit{A. Berenstein, S. Fomin} and \textit{A. Zelevinsky}, [Duke Math. J. 126, No. 1, 1-52 (2005: Zbl 1135.16013)]; when the associated Dynkin diagram is simply-laced, this cluster structure was interpreted in terms of preprojective algebras by \textit{C. Geiß, B. Leclerc} and \textit{J. Schröer}, [Invent. Math. 165, No. 3, 589-632 (2006; Zbl 1167.16009)]. In this last paper, it was shown that the cluster monomials in \(\mathbb{C}[N]\) are linearly independent, answering a conjecture of Fomin and Zelevinsky (in the simply-laced case). The author announces the extension of the results of Geiß et al. [loc. cit.], in particular the proof of the conjecture of Fomin and Zelevinsky, to the non simply-laced case. The starting point is to consider a non simply-laced Dynkin diagram as a quotient of a simply-laced one by the action of a diagram automorphism. Parallel approaches to the same question appear in [\textit{G. Dupont}, J. Algebra 320, No. 4, 1626-1661 (2008; Zbl 1155.16011)] and [\textit{D. Yang}, Algebra Colloq. 16, No. 1, 143-154 (2009; Zbl 1185.16019)].
