Hyperplane sections of convex bodies (Q2427279)

The author proves two theorems about sharp inequalities for the volume of hyperplane sections bisecting a convex body in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) in terms of the area of the intersection between them. The second theorem contains a relative isoperimetric inequality for arbitrary hyperplane sections of a convex body. All the inequalities are sharp for a class of cylinders related to the normal direction of the hyperplane.
