    It is often a difficult problem to find good estimates of constants in inequalities. To find the exact value of these constants is mostly very difficult. In this paper, the authors study the Kronecker constant of finite subsets of \({\mathbb Z}\) (for the Sidon constant, see \textit{S. Neuwirth} [J. Anal. Math. 104, 371--396 (2008; Zbl 1222.42003)]). A subset \(S \subseteq {\mathbb Z}\) is called an \textit{\(\varepsilon\)-Kronecker set} if for every function \(f : S \to {\mathbb U}\) (where \( {\mathbb U} = \{ z \in {\mathbb C} \, ; \;|z| = 1\}\)), there exists \(x \in [-1/2, 1/2]\) such that \(|f (n) - \text{e}^{2 \pi i n x} | \leq \varepsilon\) for every \(n \in S\). The \textit{Kronecker constant} of \(S\) is \(\kappa (S) = \inf\{ \varepsilon > 0 \, ; \;S \text{ is }\varepsilon\)-Kronecker
