The apparent singularities are studied for linear difference equation \(L(E)=0,\) where \[ L(E)=a_{d}(z)E^{d}+\dots+a_{1}(z) E+a_{0}(z) \] and \(a_{d},\dots,a_{1},a_{0}\) are polynomials. Let \(S(L)\subset\mathbb{C}\) be the set of roots of \(a_{d}(z).\) Assume that \(L\) has apparent singularities. The goal of the paper is to prove that it is possible to construct another operator \(\widetilde{L}\) of higher order, such that any solution of \(L( y)=0\) is a solution of \(\widetilde{L}(y)=0\) and \(S(\widetilde{L})=\{ p\in S(L),\;p\text{ not apparent}\}\).
