A generalized topological space in the sense of Á. Császár consists of a set \(X\) and a family \(g\) of subsets of \(X\) containing the empty set and being closed under forming arbitrary unions. The authors introduce \(g\)-first category sets and \(g\)-second category sets and define a generalized topological space to be Baire if the intersection of countably many \(g\)-open and \(g\)-dense sets is \(g\)-dense. In the following the authors prove several interesting theorems about this notion of Baireness and study also mapping properties.
