The authors investigate the regularity of bounded weak solutions of the scalar conservation law \(\partial_t u + \partial_x a(u)=0\), \(x\in\mathbb{R}\), \(t>0\) with uniformly convex flux \(a(u)\), satisfying generalized entropy conditions with signed entropy production measures. They prove that any such weak solution belongs to the Besov space \(B_{\infty,\mathrm{loc}}^{1/3,3}\), and this space is shown to be optimal. For the proof the authors use the kinetic formulation of solutions and a special interaction estimate.
