    Let \(G\) be a split, simple simply connected linear algebraic group. Let \(B\) be a Borel subgroup of \(G\) and let \(X\) be the variety of complete flags \(G/B\). For any simple root of \(G\) corresponding to \(B\) and its fixed maximal torus, let \(P_i\) be the corresponding minimal parabolic subgroup of \(G\). Given an element \(w\) of the Weyl group \(W\) of \(G\) and a reduced decomposition \(I_w=(i_1,\dots, i_r)\) of \(w\), let \(X_{I_w}:=P_{i_1}\times^B\cdots\times^B P_{i_r}\) be the corresponding Bott-Samelson variety. The multiplication map induces a map \(q^{\;}_{I_w}: X_{I_w}/B\to X\). The following is the main result of this paper (in its formulation the notation of \textit{B. Calmès} et al. [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 46, No. 3, 405--448 (2013; Zbl 1323.14026)] and \textit{J. Malagón-López} et al. [J. Algebra 409, 244--264 (2014; Zbl 1303.14053)] is used): Theorem. Suppose that \(G\) is of type \({\mathtt B}_n\) with \(n\geqslant 3\) (resp. of type \({\mathtt D}_n\) with \(n\geqslant 4\)), and let \(d\geqslant 2\) (resp. \(n>d\geqslant 2\)). Let \({\mathtt h}\) be a weakly birationally invariant oriented cohomology theory with coefficients in \(R\) such that the set \(\{(q_{I_w})_*(1)\in {\mathtt h}(X)\}_{w\in W}\) forms an \(R\)-basis of \({\mathtt h}(X)\). Suppose that \(R\) has characteristic different from \(2\) and \(1/2\notin R\). Let \(F\) be the corresponding formal group law over \(R\). Then {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[(i)] The torsion part of \(\gamma^{(d)}{\mathtt h}(X)\) is annihilated by \(2^{2d}\). \item[(ii)] If \(F\equiv F_a \,{\mathtt mod}\,2\) and \(d=2\) or \(3\), then \(\gamma^{(d)}{\mathtt h}(X)\cong \gamma^{(d)}\text{CH}(X;R)\). In particular, if \(R\) has characteristic zero, then \(\gamma^{(d)}{\mathtt h}(X)\) is torsion free. \end{itemize}}
