The authors establish an existence result for a dynamical equilibrium problem based on a monotone bifunction defined on the square of a closed, convex set in a Hilbert space. In order to study the asymptotic behaviour at infinity of the solution one introduces a class of demipositive bifunctions. The asymptotic behaviour of a dynamical convex minimization, a dynamical system associated to saddle convex-concave bifunctions and a new neural model for solving a convex programming problem are presented as applications.
