Let \((X,d)\) be a metric space. A weight on \(X\) is a signed Borel measure \(\nu\) on \(X\) such that \[ \int_{x\in X}e^{-d(x,y)}\,\mathrm{d}\nu(x)=1 \] for each \(y\in X\). The magnitude of \(X\) is defined by \(|X|=\nu(X)\), and (if exists) is independent of \(\nu\). In this paper the author finds explicitly magnitudes of various metric spaces. Among these are straight line segment, ternary Cantor set, homogeneous \(n\)-sphere with intrinsic metric and general homogeneous Riemannian manifolds.
