Most of the paper is devoted to reviewing the paper [\textit{A. Y. Khrennikov} et al., J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 18, No. 6, 1215--1264 (2012; Zbl 1272.42023)]. After giving basic definitions on \(p\)-adic and adelic multiresolution analysis, the authors describe (in Section 3) the Haar wavelet bases for \(L^2(Q_p)\) and prove (in Section 4) that the infinite tensor product of orthogonal bases in \(L^2(Q_p)\) over all primes \(p\) including \(\infty\), is an orthogonal basis in \(L^2(A)\). However, this property immediately follows from the well-known fact that the Bruhat-Schwartz functions are dense in \(L^2(A)\). Then, the authors try to construct an adelic MRA making the same mistakes as in the above mentioned paper. Indeed, the dilation operators introduced there are not well-defined (the multiresolution property is not provided). Besides, the set of translations used by them is not a group. The authors do not take into account that one of the main advantages of adeles, compared with \(p\)-adics, is the existence of the natural discrete group of translations (denote it by \(Q\)) that is isomorphic to the additive group of the rational field. Unfortunately, the authors do not cite another paper where a variety of adelic Haar MRAs with well-defined dilation operators and the group \(Q\) as a group of translations were constructed, which lead to a number of Haar wavelet bases for \(L^2(A)\). It is the following paper: \textit{S. Evdokimov}, ``Haar multiresolution analysis and Haar bases on the ring of rational adeles'' [Zap. Nauchn. Semin. POMI 400, 158--162 (2012); translation in J. Math. Sci., New York 192, No. 2, 215--219 (2013)]. The authors also discuss (in Section 6) the measure-free scheme based on an abstract Hilbert space formalism for describing MRAs. The last section of the paper is devoted to an abstract MRAs scheme based on Riesz spaces.
