Exponential coordinates and regularity of groupoid heat kernels (Q2440572)

The notion of pseudo-differential operators on a groupoid was developed by Nistor, Weinstein and Xu in 1999. Subsequently, it has been studied by many mathematicians as R. Lauter, L. Guillaume, S. Vassout, B. Ammann and B. Monthubert. In this paper which is an application of pseudo-differential operators on differential groupoids, the author studies the regularity of certain groupoid heat kernels. More precisely, for a groupoid with compact object space, it is shown that the groupoid heat kernel is smooth. The author uses the exponential coordinates for proof.
