Let \(n>1\) be a natural number, and let \(q=p^h\), with \(p\) prime. A nonempty collection \(\mathcal{S}\) of \(n\)-dimensional subspaces of a vector space \(\mathcal{U}\) over \(\mathbb{F}_q\) such that \(\mathrm{dim}(X \cap Y) = 1\), for any \(X\neq Y \in \mathcal{S}\), and \(X \cap Y \cap Z = \{0\}\) for any different \(X,Y,Z \in \mathcal{S}\), is called a dimensional dual arc of rank \(n\) over \(\mathbb{F}_q\). If in addition the size of \(\mathcal{S}\) is \(\frac{q^n - 1}{q - 1} + 1\), \(\mathcal{S}\) is called dimensional dual hyperoval (DHO). It is known that \(\mathrm{dim}(A(\mathcal{S})) \leq \frac{n(n + 1)}{2}\) if \(q > 2\), where \(A(\mathcal{S})\) is the subspace of \(U\) spanned by the elements of \(\mathcal{S}\). If \(q = 2\), the best known bound is \(\mathrm{dim}(A(\mathcal{S})) \leq \frac{n(n + 1)}{2}+2\), although the same bound is conjectured to hold. Given two dimensional dual hyperovals \(\mathcal{S}_i\), \(i=1,2\), of rank \(n\) over \(\mathbb{F}_q\), \(\mathcal{S}_1\) covers \(\mathcal{S}_2\) if there is a surjective semilinear map \(\rho\) from \(A(\mathcal{S}_1)\) to \(A(\mathcal{S}_2)\) sending each member of \(\mathcal{S}_1\) isomorphically to a member of \(\mathcal{S}_2\). If any cover of \(\mathcal{S}\) coincides with \(\mathcal{S}\) then \(\mathcal{S}\) is called simply connected. If \(q=2\), there are four known families of simply connected dimensional dual hyperovals \(\mathcal{S}\) of rank \(n\geq 3\) with \(\mathrm{dim}(A(\mathcal{S}))=\frac{n(n + 1)}{2}\). They are referred to as the Veronesean DHO \(\mathcal{V}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), the Huybrechts DHO \(\mathcal{H}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), the Buratti-Del Fra DHO \(\mathcal{D}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), and the Taniguchi DHO \(\mathcal{T}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\). In this paper the authors give models of \(\mathcal{V}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), \(\mathcal{H}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), \(\mathcal{D}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\), \(\mathcal{T}_n(\mathbb{F}_2)\) with the common ambient spaces in a unified fashion.
