Topological aspect of Wulff shapes (Q2445039)

\textit{G. Wulff} [``Zur Frage der Geschwindigkeit des Wachstums und der Auflösung der Krystallflachen'', Z. Kristall. Mineral. 34, 449--530 (1901)] proposed a simple geometric construction for the shape of a crystal at equilibrium, and here, one studies the so-called Wulff shapes which are the sets obtained by the Wulff geometric construction, from the topological viewpoint. The paper focuses on spherical polar sets and one examines Wulff shapes from the viewpoint of pedals.
