Summary: In this paper, we study the influence of hard supersymmetry breaking terms in a \(N=1\), \(d=4\) supersymmetric model, in \(S^1\times\mathbb R^3\) spacetime topology. It is shown that when the radius of the compact dimension is large supersymmetry is unbroken, and dynamically breaks as the radius decreases. We point out that this resembles the inverse symmetry breaking of continuous symmetries at finite temperature (however, in the case of supersymmetry, the role of the temperature is played by the compact dimension's radius). Furthermore, we also find a universality in the dependence of the critical length \(L_c\) as a function of a coupling \(g_3\), after comparing all cases.
