It is known that the classical Baum-Connes conjecture fails in some important special cases, e.g. when the underlying group is an expander. To fix the problem, one needs to properly modify the original conjecture which will include all known counterexamples. The Baum-Connes conjecture for the so-called \textit{coarse} topological spaces has a similar drawback: there are counterexamples. The authors of the paper under review introduce a \textit{boundary} coarse Baum-Connes conjecture and prove that there are no known counterexamples to such a conjecture.
