The author considers finitely generated \(\mathbb Z^m\)-graded modules over the polynomial ring \(R:=K[x_1,...,x_m]\). She gives a sharp upper bound for the total Betti numbers \(\beta _i(L)\) in terms of \(\beta _0(L),\beta _1(L)\) and the rank of \(L\). She shows that this bound is sharp by giving one example where the Buchsbaum-Rim-Taylor complex is the minimal free resolution of \(L.\) By using Alexander duality on \(\mathbb Z^m\)-graded modules she gives an upper bound for the multigraded Bass-numbers of \(L\) in terms of the first two multigraded Bass-numbers of \(L\).
