For a complex manifold \(M\) the set of holomorphic maps of \(M\) into itself is denoted by \(H(M,M)\). A set \(K\subset M\) is said to be a determining subset of \(M\) with respect to \(\Aut(M)\) (resp., \(H(M,M)\)) if whenever \(g\) is an automorphism (endomorphism) such that \(g(k)= k\) for all \(k\in K\), then \(g\) is the identity map of \(M\). Determining sets for automorphisms and endomorphisms of bounded domains in \(\mathbb C^n\) has been investigated in previous papers of the authors. The main purpose of the present paper is to generalize the results for bounded domains in \(\mathbb C^n\) to hyperbolic manifolds and to illustrate that the results are different for the nonhyperbolic manifolds.
