It is well known that a \(C^1\)-map \(f :\mathbb R^n \rightarrow\mathbb R^n\) satisfying a pointwise condition \((*)\) \(L^{-1}| y| \leq | f'(x)y| \leq L | y| \) is, in fact, a global \(L\)-bilipschitz map. In this paper a similar problem is studied in the Heisenberg group \(H\). The authors consider the case \(H =\mathbb R^3\) as a set. A mapping \(f : H \rightarrow H\) is assumed to have a continuous non-degenerate Pansu differential, see [\textit{P. Pansu}, Ann. Math. (2) 129, No.~1, 1--60 (1989; Zbl 0678.53042)], in \(H\). If now \(f\) satisfies a pointwise bound, similar to \((*)\), in the plane \(\mathbb R^2\), then \(f\) is globally \(L\)-bilipschitz. The Lipschitz constant is also estimated. A closely related result has been proved by [\textit{V. Magnani}, Tesi di Perfezionamento. Pisa: Scuola Normale Superiore (Thesis) (2002; Zbl 1064.28007)].
