    The authors consider the following Cauchy problem for a quasilinear system \[ {\partial u\over\partial t}= \sum^d_{j=1} A_j(t, x,u){\partial u\over\partial x_j}+ B(t,x,u) u(t,x)+ f(t,x),\quad x\in\Omega,\tag{1} \] \[ u(0,x)= u_0(x),\tag{2} \] where \(A_j\) and \(B\) are \(d\times d\) real-valued matrix functions, \(u\), \(u_0\) and \(f\) are real-valued \(d\)-components functions and \(\Omega\) is an open neighborhood of \(0\in\mathbb{R}^d\). Under some natural assumptions on the data, that is, \(A_j\), \(B\), \(f\), and \(u_0\), the authors prove, using energy inequality, existence of the local solutions of (1)--(2) in the certain Gevrey class.
