The authors take the idea of \textit{T. Carleman}'s simplest case, the one of one variable [Ark. Mat. Astron. Fys. B 26, No. 17, 1--9 (1939; Zbl 0022.34201)] and prove some important results on a continuation property for vector valued functions of one variables satisfying a certain differential inequality and show some immediate consequences.
