Let \(H(2n+1,q^2)\) denote a nonsingular Hermitian variety in the projective space \(\text{PG}(2n+1,q^2)\). A generator of \(H(2n+1,q^2)\) is a subspace of maximal dimension \(n\) contained in \(H(2n+1,q^2)\). A set of mutually disjoint generators of \(H(2n+1,q^2)\) is called a partial spread of \(H(2n+1,q^2)\). A partial spread is called maximal if it is not properly contained in another partial spread. In the paper under review, the author determines a lower and upper bound for the size of a maximal partial spread of \(H(2n+1,q^2)\). Also, a new maximal partial spread of \(H(4n+1,q^2)\) is given by generalizing a construction given in [\textit{A. Aguglia, A. Cossidente} and \textit{G. L. Ebert}, Des. Codes Cryptogr. 29, No.~1--3, 7--15 (2003; Zbl 1042.51002].
