      The Bessel potential operator \(B^{\alpha}\) of order \(\alpha >0\) is defined by \[ B^{\alpha}\varphi(x) = \int_{\mathbb R^d} G_{\alpha}(x-y)\varphi(y)\,dy, \] where \(G_{\alpha}\) is the so-called Bessel kernel given via its Fourier transform \[ \widehat G_{\alpha} (x) = (1+| x| ^2)^{-\alpha/2}. \] The authors construct the inverse operator of the Bessel potential operator \(B^{\alpha}\) in weighted Lebesgue spaces with variable exponent. To this end, they use the approximative inverse operator method. The inverse operator is given as a limit of a sequence of convolution operators: \[ (B^{\alpha})^{-1} \varphi(x) = \lim_{\varepsilon \rightarrow 0} \int_{\mathbb R^d} q_{\alpha} (y,\varepsilon) \varphi(x-y)\, dy, \] where the kernels \(q_{\alpha}(\cdot,\varepsilon)\) satisfy \[ \lim_{\varepsilon \rightarrow 0} \hat q_{\alpha} (\xi,\varepsilon) \widehat G_{\alpha} (\xi) = 1 \] or \[ \hat q_{\alpha}(\xi,\varepsilon) = (1+| \xi| ^2)^{\alpha/2} K_{\varepsilon} (\xi) \] with \(K_{\varepsilon} (\xi) \rightarrow 1\) as \(\varepsilon \rightarrow 0\). (The auxiliary ``nice'' kernel \(K_{\alpha}\) compensates the increase of \((1+| \xi| ^2)^{\alpha/2}\) at infinity.) The authors consider two different auxiliary kernels \(K_{\varepsilon}\!\!: K_{\varepsilon} (\xi) = e^{-\varepsilon| \xi| }\) or \(K_{\varepsilon} (\xi) = (1+\varepsilon^2| \xi| ^2)^{-\alpha/2}\).
