The authors consider the shunting inhibitory cellular neural network with continuously distributed delays given by \[ x_{ij}'(t)= -a_{ij}x_{ij}(t)- \sum_l C_{ij}^{kl} \int_0^\infty K_{ij}(u) f(x_{kl}(t-u))\, du\,x_{ij}(t)+ L_{ij}(t)). \] Sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stability of the almost periodic solutions are established by a fixed point theorem, Lyapunov functional method and the differential inequality technique. An illustrative example is given.
