On relations and homology of the Dehn quandle (Q2471684)

The aim of the paper is to derive some fundamental relations in the Dehn quandle \(Q\) of a closed orientable surface \(F\) of genus \(g\) and to define a homology groups associated to \(Q\). A large family of 2-cycles are characterized by certain types of relations in the quandle. The author also proves that the isomorphism classes of Lefschetz fibrations over a disk correspond to quandle homology classes in dimension 2.
