The authors establish a global Hölder estimate for solutions to second-order elliptic and parabolic equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions, with the right hand side possibly unbounded. The approach is based on special growth lemmas and it works for equations in both divergence and nondivergence form in domains satisfying a general exterior measure condition.
