Let \(K\) be a nonempty subset of a Hilbert space and \(\Gamma=\{T(t)\mid t\geq 0\}\) be a semigroup on \(K\). By definition, \(a(\cdot):[0,\infty)\to K\) is an almost orbit of \(\Gamma\) if it is strongly measurable, bounded on every bounded subinterval of \([0,\infty)\), and \[ \lim_{t\to \infty} \sup_{s\geq 0} \| a(s+t)-T^k(s)a(t)\| ^p=0. \] Assuming for \(\Gamma\) a condition that is more general than the condition to be an asymptotically nonexpansive semigroup, it is proved that every almost orbit of \(\Gamma\) is almost weakly and strongly convergent to its asymptotic center.
