The author continues the study of the similarity of different classes of matrix pairs, which was begun in a previous paper [Math. Notes 73, No. 6, 871--888 (2003); translation from Mat. Zametki 73, No. 6, 923--941 (2003; Zbl 1058.15034)]. More precisely, this paper is devoted to the problem of similarity of pairs of matrices of even order with some additional special spectral properties. This problem can be considered as a special case of a more general classical problem, that of matrix pairs. There is already a large number of published works in this direction. The method proposed here is based on the application of set semiscalarly equivalent transformations to the characteristic polynomial matrix corresponding to the pair of numerical matrices and on the reduction of this matrix to some simpler, in particular, canonical form. The paper studies invariants of simultaneous similarity of a hair of matrices of even order \(2k\) over the field of complex numbers for the case in which all elementary divisors of the corresponding characteristic polynomial matrix are identical and their number is \(k\).
