\textit{M. Carlotti} [Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo, II. Ser. 41, No. 3, 325--341 (1992; Zbl 0777.58006)] extended the local inverse theorem to V-manifolds of finite dimensions. V-manifolds or orbifolds were first introduced by \textit{I. Satake} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 9, 464--492 (1957; Zbl 0080.37403)]. As opposed to the direct extension of the local inverse theorem from finitely dimensional manifolds to Banach manifolds, when trying to extend Carlotti's result to Banach orbifolds, the authors find the extension can only be done on a class of Banach orbifolds.
