On metric spaces \(X\) with an order relation, maps \(T\) are considered which are order preserving in a suitable sense. The main result for these maps is that omega-limit sets consist of single points. It applies to the neutral delay equation \[ \frac{d[x(t) - b(t) x(t-r)] }{dt } = F(t, x(t), x(t-r)), \] with \(F\) having period \(r\) in the first argument. The result is that all solutions are asymptotic to an \(r\)-periodic solution from a specific one-parameter family, under a non-strict monotonicity condition on \(F\).
