In the paper [\textit{F. Zhang} and \textit{J. Heidel}, Int. J. Bifur. Chaos, 17(6), 1--24 (2007; Zbl 1154.34020)], a general theorem is proved which can be applied to determine whether a 3D autonomous system is nonchaotic. In the present paper, the authors use this theorem to locate nonchaotic parameters in some chaotic systems. These systems include the Lorenz system, the Rössler system and some equations in the form \(x'''=J(x'', x', x)\), which is called a jerk equation. The results are helpful to reduce the amount of work to search for parameters causing chaos.
