On one-complemented subspaces of Minkowski spaces with smooth Riesz norms (Q2477934)

A class of norms on \({\mathbb R}^n\) is introduced and it is shown that for these norms each one-complemented subspace has a basis of vectors with mutually disjoint supports. The class of norms is defined in terms of differentiability and contains, among others, the class of positive linear combinations of \(\ell_p\)-norms for different values \(p_1,\dots,p_k\) in \((1,+\infty)\) whose minimum is different from \(2\).
