Multipliers for the \(L_p\)-spaces of a hypergroup (Q2478004)

The author investigates the multiplier problem for the spaces \(L_p(K)\) \((1\leq p\leq \infty)\) on a hypergroup \(K\) with a Haar measure. The results obtained and their proofs parallel some classical characterizations of closed convex invariant subsets and multipliers established by \textit{A. T.-M. Lau} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 232, 131--142 (1977; Zbl 0363.43002)], \textit{B. Brainerd} and \textit{R. E. Edwards} [J. Aust. Math. Soc. 6, 289--327, 328--350 (1966; Zbl 0154.39202)], and others in the setting of locally compact groups.
